La specie è diffusa nel sud ovest e
nord dell'Europa, dalla Penisola Iberica a nord fino alla Danimarca
ed all'estremo meridionale della Svezia, a est raggiunge l'Ucraina
nord occidentale, la Bielorussia, l'Estonia occidentale e la
Lettonia. Esistono popolazioni isolate dell'Irlanda sud occidentale
ed in alcune zone della Gran Bretagna. E. calamita si
incontra dal livello del mare fino a circa 2.,540 m di quota (in
Spagna). |
