Località tipo - fiume Widawa, bacino del fiume Oder, nei pressi del villaggio di Kielczówek, a 4 chilometri da Breslavia (Wroclaw), 51°18'N, 17°12'W, Polonia. Tipo - Olotipo NMHW 638. Paratipi MTD F 11888-89 (2), NMHW 639 (33).

Distribuzione di Sabanejewia baltica secondo IUCN

 

Sabanejewia baltica è diffusa nel bacino del Mar Baltico, nei fiumi Oder e Vistola, e nei bacini dei fiumi Dniestr, Dniepr e Don, tributari del Mar Nero
