Note sulla nomenclatura - La località tipo citata da Berg (1906) è in apparente contraddizione con l'area di diffusione della specie riportata da Kottelat & Freyhof (2007) e da IUCN (2008). Sembrerebbe riferirsi a S. kubanica.
