Note sulla nomenclatura - La località tipo citata è Imotski. Più precisamente Heckel & Knerr (1858: 168) citano come zona originaria dei loro campioni il lago di Jessero Rosso, vicino a Imotski.

Distribuzione di Delminichthys adspersus secondo IUCN

 

L'area di distribuzione è limitata, comprende il bacino del torrente Vrlijka ed il lago Crveno a Imotsko polje e, nel bacinio della Neretva, i torrenti Matica e Norin ed i laghi Kuti e Bacina (Croazia), ed i sistemi carsici di Tihalijna e Trebizat (Bosnia Erzegovina).
