Distribuzione di Pelecus cultratus secondo IUCN

 

La specie è diffusa dall'Europa centrale fino alle regioni occidentali dell'Asia, nelle regioni costiere del Baltico, del Mar Nero, del Mar Caspio e del lago d'Aral. La densità di popolazione aumenta da occidente verso oriente.
