Distribuzione di Scardinius racovitzai secondo IUCN

 

 

Specie presente soltanto in alcune fonti termali nella provincia di Oradea in Romania. Purtroppo le sorgenti sono state pesantemente modificate per alimentare le piscine ed il centro benessere, ed attualmente la specie è estinta in natura. Esistono vari allevamenti, privati e non, che allevano questi pesci. Non è esclusa una futura reintroduzione.
