Distribuzione di Aphanius iberus secondo IUCN

 

 

L'area di diffusione della specie è limitata alle coste mediterranee della Spagna. Alcuni autori ritengono A. iberus presente anche in Algeria, ma studi recenti, hanno attribuito le popolazioni algerine ad una specie distinta.
