Limitato a dieci località, stagni profondi e isolati nel bacino del fiume Sperchios in Grecia centrale: zona paludosa di Aghia Paraskevi, canali di irrigazione e di prosciugamento ed un piccolo numero di pozzi naturali nelle zone di Lycochoria e di Valtos nei pressi del villaggio di Kompotades.
