Distribuzione di Benthophilus baeri secondo IUCN

  

 

Specie endemica del bacino del Mare di Azov. Diffusa nella Baia di Taganrog e nel bacino del fiume Don, dalla foce a monte fino alla diga di Tsymlyansk. Intrododotta (mista a crostacei Misidi) nella diga di Kuibyshev (bacino del fiume  Volga) da dove si è diffusa in seguito da Gorgy alle dighe di Volgograd.
