Distribuzione di Benthophilus stellatus

 

Il ghiozzo stellato è diffuso nel Mar Nero, Mare d'Azov, e mar Caspio, in mare,  negli estuari e nel corso inferiore dei fiumi afferenti. La specie è stata rinvenuta nelle dighe dei fiumi Dnieper, Don e Volga.
