Distribuzione di Gobius paganellus secondo FISHBASE

 

 

Specie diffusa in acque marine e salmastre di Oceano Atlantico, Mar Mediterraneo e Mar Nero. Sulle coste atlantiche si incontra dal Senegal alla Scozia occidentale e nelle isole oceaniche. Nel Mediterraneo la sua frequenza diminuisce procedendo verso oriente. Nel Mar Nero è assente dalla zona nord occidentale. Presente nel Mare del Nord fino alla Norvegia meridionale, non penetra nelle acque del Mar Baltico. Segnalata come specie migrante lessepsiana nel Golfo di Eilat e nel Mar Rosso.
