Distribuzione di Proterorhinus marmoratus secondo IUCN

  

Specie diffusa nei fiumi e nelle acque salmastre dei bacini del mar Nero orientale, del mare di Azov e del mar Caspio. Nativa nel delta del fiume Volga, alloctona nel lago (invaso idroelettrico) Rybinskoye e nel corso del fiume a monte.
