Distribuzione originaria di Perca fluviatilis secondo IUCN

 

 

Il persico reale è diffuso dai Pirenei fino alla Siberia ed al fiume Kolyma, introdotto recentemente in Spagna e nell'Italia peninsulare ed isole. In Italia la specie, probabilmente alloctona, è diffusa da molto tempo nel Settentrione. Largamente introdotta per fini alieutici in molti paesi, spesso ha causato gravi problemi ecologici.
