Distribuzione di Zingel asper secondo IUCN

 

 

La specie, in origine presente in tutto il bacino del fiume Rodano, sopravvive attualmente in quattro sottopopolazioni isolate, confinate in piccole aree del bacino del fiume Rodano in Francia ed in Svizzera. Le principali popolazioni sono presenti nel corso centrale del fiume Doubs (Francia, Svizzera), e nei bacini dei fiumi Durance ed Ardeche (Francia meridionale). Non è escluso che esistano altre popolazioni superstiti, ma le rare segnalazioni sono vaghe e non confermate.
