Località tipo: fiume Ob; fiumi della Siberia, Russia. Tipo: non è noto nessun esemplare tipo.

Distribuzione di Coregonus muksun

 

La specie,originaria dei fiumi che dalla Siberia sboccano nel mare Artico, è stata introdotta anche in località della Russia europea ed in Lituania. Ex URSS: dal fiume Kara al fiume Kolyma.
