Sinonimo senior, combinazione originale, nomenclatura ICZN valida. Opinioni - Status incerto, vedere Schulz & Freyhof 2003:210. Nomenclatura valida come Coregonus trybomi Svärdson 1979, vedere Kottelat 1997:119, Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:391. Località tipo - Lago Ören, Svezia. Tipo - Olotipo NRM 35748. Paratipi - NRM 16231-37 (12, 13, 14, 14, 8, 6, 6), 16372-73 (16, 11), 16727 (17), 16827 (8), 35661 (14), 39286-87 (8, 3).

 

 

Note tassonomiche - Studi condotti su allozima di popolazioni attribuite a C. trybomi, segnalate in Finlandia e Russia, sembrano suggerire che differenti popolazioni siano emerse indipendentemente da simpatriche popolazioni di coregoni a riproduzione autunnale del gruppo C. albula, costituendo specie distinte. In questo caso, in Svezia sarebbero presenti quattro specie endemiche (inclusa C. trybomi) tre delle quali ormai estinte.

Distribuzione di Coregonus trybomi secondo IUCN

  

 

Laghi della Svezia meridionale: lago Ören (bacino del f. Motalaström), Hålsjön (bacino del f. Viskan), lago Äsunden, lago Fegen (bacino del f. Ätran). Popolazioni attribuite a questa specie sono segnalate in vari laghi di Finlandia (Änättijärvi, Kostonjärvi, Kokkamo, Pirttijärvi, Suomunjärvi, Sokojärvi, Kajoonjärvi, Luovijärvi, Siikajärvi) e di Russia (alcuni laghi in Carelia) ma sembra che non si tratti di stock conspecifici.
