Coregonus lavaretus  (Linnaeus, 1758)

Note sulla nomenclatura - Molti autori considerano C. lavaretus come una superspecie originaria della Gran Bretagna e delle regioni alpine dell'Europa centrale. Altri aggiungono i coregoni anadromi del Baltico e del Mar Bianco. L'uso di questo nome dovrebbe essere invece limitato agli esemplari del Lago di Ginevra (dove adesso la specie è estinta), e dei laghi Bourget, e Aiguebelette, nel bacino fluviale del Rodano, coerentemente con la designazione del neotipo proveniente da questo settore.
