Distribuzione di Stenodus leucichthys secondo IUCN

 

 

Specie endemica del bacino del mar Caspio, comune nel Caspio centrale e meridionale in estate, diffusa nei bacini dei fiumi Volga, Ural e Terek. La specie sopravvive in natura solo grazie a semine di materiale prodotto in cattività.
