Distribuzione originaria di Thymallus arcticus secondo IUCN

 

 

Fiumi afferenti all'Oceano Pacifico settentrionale dal fiume Yalu alle coste del Canada, e all'Oceano Artico, Siberia dal bacino del fiume Ob fino al bacino del fiume Ienissei, America dall'Alaska alla Baia di Hudson. In Europa è presente in alcuni affluenti dei fiumi Pechora (Usa, Kos'yu, Kozhim), Korotaikha e Kara.
