	*Distribuzione di Ablepharus kitaibelii* secondo IUCN**

L'area di distribuzione della specie comprende il sud della Slovacchia e dell'Ungheria, gran parte della Serbia (assente dal Montenegro), la Romania meridionale, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania (aree di pianura), Grecia (incluse molte isole del Mar Ionio e del Mar Egeo) e la Turchia occidentale e centrale. Esiste una sola segnalazione dalla Bosnia Erzegovina orientale. Le popolazioni ungheresi e slovacche sono molto frammentate. A cipro viene segnalata la specie Ablepharus budaki. La quota massima alla quale si sono incontrati esemplari di Ablepharus kitaibelii è di circa 2,000 metri (in Turchia).
