	Distribuzione di Lacerta bilineata secondo IUCN

L'areale della specie comprende gran parte della Francia, (ad eccezione delle coste più settentrionali e della Renania). Il ramarro occidentale è presente nella Svizzera occidentale e meridionale, in Italia continentale, Slovenia e Croazia occidentali, Austria meridionale e Spagna settentrionale. Popolazioni isolate sono presenti in Germania occidentale. La specie è diffusa nell'Arcipelago Toscano ma è assente da Corsica e Sardegna. Si incontra anche nell'isola di Jersey e nelle Channel Islands (Gran Bretagna) (introdotta nell'isola di Guernsey). Questo ramarro è diffuso dal livello del mare fino a quote superiori ai 2.160 metri.
