	*Distribuzione di Hierophis gemonensis* secondo IUCN**

Coste adriatiche orientali (incluse molte isole) e Grecia. Isola di Gioura nelle Cicladi. L'areale di distribuzione di questa specie comprende i versanti adriatici di Slovenia, Croazia, Bosnia Erzegovina, Montenegro, Albania e la Grecia orientale e meridionale. H. gemonensis è presente in numerose isole adriatiche, nelle isole ioniche e sulle isole egee di Eubea, Kythera, Creta (e piccole isole adiacenti) e Karpathos. Il colubro dei Balcani vive dal livello del mare fino a quote di poco superiori ai 1.400 metri.
